The former CEO and chairman of Duke Energy, Jim Rogers takes a nostalgic look over his long career at one of the largest US, regulatory utility companies. Rogers wonders whether he could have done more to promote the up-take of renewable energy business such as solar; that responds to consumers specific energy needs. However, an energy industry consultant and former high ranking executive at Austin Energy and AES Karl Rabago, believes that it is much easier for former utility chiefs to promote the use of renewable energy when they are out of their positions because of the on-job dynamics. ..»
