Pound LIVE: HSBC profits double to $17.2bn as banking 'bad period' comes to an end

THE POUND is down on the Dollar but up slightly on the Euro this morning as UK high street bank HSBC reports massive pre-tax profits of £12.3bn in 2017, a 141 percent rise on the £5.09bn profit of the previous year. -»
