THE pound US dollar exchange rate is virtually unchanged from this morning’s opening levels, holding just above $1.30 after the pairing soared over half a cent on Thursday. The pound remains in a position of strength against the US dollar and the majority of others this morning as Sterling sentiment remains buoyed by reports that Ireland backs Theresa May’s plans for a post-Brexit customs union.
