TURKEY is far from recovering from its “deepening economic crisis” which has seen the lira tumble to record lows against the US dollar, according to a journalist in Turkey. Ankara has been gripped by the meltdown of the lira, with the currency plummeting almost a staggering 40 percent of its value against the American currency so far this year.
