THE escalating trade war between the US and China risks making the world a “poorer and more dangerous place”, the International Monetary Fund has warned as it slashed its global growth forecast. Washington and Beijing have been at loggerheads for months with the nations locked in a tit-for-tat trade conflict as they continue to slap strings of tariffs on each other.
