At the time of writing the GBP/USD exchange rate has climbed to $1.315, up 0.3 percent from today’s opening rate, having risen roughly a cent in the last 24 hours. The US dollar has fallen across the board this morning, dropping to a three-week low against the pound as markets digest the result of Tuesday’s US midterm elections.
