The pound is down against the US dollar by more than 0.3 percent this morning and is currently trading around $1.296. GBP/USD has continued to struggle despite domestic political tensions once again heating up in the US ahead of President Donald Trump’s proposal for new budget roadmap – which could see a possible $2.7 trillion spending cut – that is due to be announced today.
