The GBP/USD exchange rate fell from $1.276 to $1.266 yesterday and continues trading around its lowest levels. This follows last night’s comments from Federal Reserve chief Jerome Powell, who was keen to stress the Federal Reserve’s independence following President Trump’s recent criticism.
