Pound euro exchange rate eases as no-deal Brexit fears rise ahead of Tory leader contest



The pound euro exchange rate eased by -0.2 percent this morning, leaving the pairing fluctuating around €1.112 as Brexit jitters increased ahead of the Tory leadership announcement. GBP/EUR is set to remain sensitive to developments surrounding the new Conservative Party leader this week, and with the results expected tomorrow, we could see either Boris Johnson or Jeremy Hunt become the UK’s Prime Minister by Thursday.
