The pound euro exchange rate rose by 0.6 percent today, with the pairing trading around €1.16 after Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage announced that his party would not contest the 317 Tory-won seats ahead of the December 12 general election, stating that it was the best way to “prevent a second referendum”.
