Pound euro exchange rate rises, Tories maintain their lead after manifesto launch

The pound euro exchange rate has risen by 0.6 percent today, with the pairing currently trading around €1.171 after opinion polls showed continued support for the Conservatives following the release of their long-awaited manifesto on Sunday.
