THE pound euro exchange rate plummeted by 1 percent today, with the pairing currently trading around €1.178 amid reports that Prime Minister Boris Johnson could create a possible no-deal cliff-edge by legislating a late December 2020 deadline for the UK’s Brexit transition period.
